Operation Swallow

Operation Swallow: American Soldiers’ Remarkable Escape from Berga Concentration Camp, by Mark Felton, published in 2019.

This book is about three American POWs escaping secret Nazi concentration camp in the waning days of WW II.

The three escapees, Hans Kasten, Joe Littell and Ernst Sinner, all spoke German and escaped with Kasten when his life was threatened by two killer dogs. They succeeded … but soon were captured again … As they were sitting on the death row, the camp was liberated by the Americans.

There was very little info about Sinner. Kasten became a patron of art and died in the Philippines (his memory in LOC). Littell went into publishing – McDougal Littell, who published a book in 1995, titled A Lifetime in Every Moment.

然后 就没有然后了
小天真转个身 就对🇩🇪曰 “那个美国大兵说 …” (妈咪 看看 俺抓到不守规则的人了)

(俺就纳闷 一个成年人怎么可以这么傻 智障 …)

那个大兵就成了德人的眼中钉 … 最后迫使他逃跑 …

风雪交加 … 🇺🇸阵线在300 英里以外 … 逃出几天后 决定在一个小镇过夜 吃顿热饭 睡个好觉 … 然后一个德国飞行上将走过来 … 俺的老心脏有点受不了啦 … 明天打💉 强心剂再继续吧
