Or hired designers outside of China. Or, copied. AND who copies\/copied who?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ireneeng.com\/?p=8508\">On my wall<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By chance, I came upon this video on <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/JtS9KLcH_ak\">YouTube<\/a> posted in 2021 by <em>Business Insider<\/em>, showcasing one of a kind tiles made by four companies. The first one is a man from Cairo, Egypt &#8211; the only one that doesn&#8217;t have a website or contact info. Starting at 0:23 mark, the tile pattern is identical to Chee Hsin&#8217;s QX <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ireneeng.com\/?p=902\">#115\/#165<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ireneeng.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-20-at-6.30.19-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-8139\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ireneeng.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-20-at-6.30.19-PM-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ireneeng.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-20-at-6.30.47-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-8138\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ireneeng.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-20-at-6.30.47-PM-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ireneeng.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-20-at-6.32.28-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-8140\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ireneeng.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-20-at-6.32.28-PM-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, who copies who?<\/p>\n<p>Art has no borders?<\/p>\n<p>I want to go to Cairo to find him, to connect with him, asking how did he come up with this design &#8230; here is my road to find this Egyptian:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>People who made this video: one of them gave me the son&#8217;s phone #<\/li>\n<li>the son: no reply<\/li>\n<li>Paul J.: unable to help<\/li>\n<li>Paul W.: no reply<\/li>\n<li>Jodi S.: no reply<\/li>\n<li>Gail H: doesn&#8217;t think\u00a0that various people developed these designs independently<\/li>\n<li>Jian H: her friend spoke to the son &#8230; but when I text him again, no reply again &#8211; hmmm, I may have something written on my forehead, like <em>don&#8217;t reply to me<\/em>? \u00a0-:(<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>What else I could do?<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Plan to go there &#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonvoyage.ireneeng.com\/?cat=79\">revisiting Cairo<\/a>?
