She was often quoted as saying, &#8220;Good girls go to heaven. Bad girls go everywhere.&#8221; The novel is largely factual. HGB<span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">\u00a0would remain there till 1997 when the magazine felt she no longer could connect with the reader.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>The Vanity Fair Diaries 1983-92<\/em>, by Tina Brown (1953-) who&#8217;s British import. VF got her to be its EIC when she was not yet 30.
