Interracial liaison or marriage

I was updating the Block of Four stamp and came to face MD Chow’s acquisition of it again. I had written about his throny pass to the ultimate prize, the BoF that had elevated him to be the King of Chinese Philately.

The block of four 四方连

This picture is THE stamp of China, forwarded to me by David Lu. 
Each country has its own Holy Grail of stamp, this one is for China - a block of four $1 Small Character Surcharge on 3¢ Red Revenue Stamp  红印花加盖小字当一元 四方连, the block of four 四方连 for short, for those in the know.  Perhaps the Inverted Jenny is [...]

Chinese Railways 1876-1938

     Got this map today, finally I’m going to frame them, the bond (5% Canton-Kowloon Railway) that financed part of the railroads on this map - from Canton or Guangzhou to Shenzhen.  It’s copyrighted by Wilhelm Kuhlmann in 1985 who wrote the China’s Foreign Debt, cataloging China’s loans 1983.  For some reason, the map is tad confusing, as far [...]
