Baguan, pull-out jar in Chinese, is ancient medical treatment that relies upon creating a local suction to mobilise blood flow in order to promote healing. Suction is created using heat, i.e. fire (in old times) or mechanical devices (hand or electrical pumps, current new trend). The use of cupping therapy has been a part of most cultures of the world.
