死不择辰 dead at the wrong time
生不逢时 .. born at the unfortunate time .. but it’s the death we’re talking about it here: Casey Johnson and Ruth Lilly: A Tale of Two Heiresses. Due to estate-tax law those who died in 2009 will be parting from large portion of their fortune, and those who died in 2010 will not. Casey died perhaps in late December but wasn’t found till Jan. It will be an interesting case to watch.
Few years ago I read Ruth Lilly’s 200 mil bequest to Poetry Foundation. There is no money in poetry, but then there is no poetry in money either. .. well now the foundation has money will they know how to spend it?
