Girls night out
I went to a little retreat last weekend with the girls at the Residence Inn. I’ve never stayed at RI @ Marriott before and found it to be very pleasant and comfortable. There is a little kitchenette in the room (a suite) and the breakfast is American.
Hmmmmm … thought about the two different kinds of breakfast in the West: Continental breakfast, which is little nothing except coffee, milk and croissant; while the American breakfast derives from the full English breakfast that has everything you could go on for the day. The first time I visited London, I took couple of bus tours visiting the Great Britain – England, Scotland and Wales (don’t think the EuroPass included GB). Each stop, the tour guide would announce the breakfast for the following day:
Continental breakfast
or
American.
Of course we all cheered for the latter. Wondered why not called it English breakfast instead? We were in GB/England for that matter.
Anyway, when we went down to eat last weekend, the dinning hall was full so we brought it back to have in our room.
