Chinglish

Now you understand why my Chinglish is so bad good .. 才氣縱橫的內地翻譯,中國人太有文采了, 寫的英文老外也看不懂,因為他們的中文程度太差了 ! Exactly, IF their Chinese is any better, did I have to learn English?
A nation full of shoddy workers. Reminding riders to queue inline just confirms the low level of civility – 有教育没教养

Murdoch on the New York Times

Published by The Kibbitzer under View from Bottom

Michael Wolff wrote in The Man Who Owns The News [page 400] .. that ..
He [Rupert Murdoch, after he acquired the WSJ ] thinks the Times, with its soft stories and newsless front page and all its talk of being a news brand instead of a newspaper – has forsaken what a newspaper is. [...]

Charles Wang’s Nassau Coliseum

Published by The Kibbitzer under View from Bottom

While at the Citi Field, I wondered what’s happened to Mr. Charles Wang’s coliseum plan? The Nassau Coliseum, the home of Islanders is the most unpleasant sport arena to go to, very very depressing. The owner of the team wants to rebuild and develop the entire area for years. Died in the [...]

Citi Field .. alcohol compliance officers

After 9/11, the word compliance is hot.
..
Just as corporate raiders represented the Wall Street of the 1980’s (think of Gordon Gekko) and mutual fund managers were the icons of the 90’s (Jeffrey N. Vinik, who ran the Fidelity Magellan fund, was a minor celebrity), the lawyers who keep companies in compliance with increasingly tough [...]

The new Citi Field had opened today, hosted St. Johns vs Georgetown. The season opening is slated on 4/13. The new stadium is classy, cozy, wide open, less seats (they couldn’t sell out anyway, might as well make them nicer and less ..) nicely done, with an old world charm, or old [...]
