Pumpkin’s serve is getting better slowly, but she’s getting there.  This semester she seems to have a lot motivation to play. .. .. Everything takes practice and hard work to get it right.

My constant companions

After a soaking wet weekend – three days in a row, I couldn’t wait to see a cerulean blue sky. Autumn in New York is very beautiful, so is in Beijing. It’s the hiking season, see the foliage!

Charles Ives plays Charles Ives

Charles E Ives (1874 – 1954) was an American composer of modernist classical music. He is widely regarded as one of the first American classical composers of international significance.  His music considered serious music.  Agree?  I’m having fever.

The term “cougar” is relatively new but has sparked a lot of debate recently. It is generally applied to an older woman who dresses seductively in hopes of attracting the attention of a younger man. Regardless of if you are … Continue reading

21st Century

Sadly to say, it’s look like no brainer that we’ll get Obama as our next pres.  Palin looks like an idiot, air head barbie.  Did Condi Rice refuse to be McCain’s running mate?  I would think that’s a hell of a winning … Continue reading

Pirates Seek $35 Million for Ship

It’s so cool to see Johnny Depp in action, for real. How would those pirates get away with it? Years ago, the South China Sea piracy was being covered on a long story by NYT magazine, it was just unbelievably exciting … Continue reading

Greenwich Time

Every time I see ‘Masters of the Universe‘ I thought of Michael Lewis. Didn’t he invent the term or populate it?  Where is he, amid current financial crisis? Tom Wolfe wrote an editorial today that all those Wall Street hotshots are migrated to … Continue reading

The Other End of the Line

I don’t know why others read the New York Times, but for me it’s always for the bit highbrow than other NY papers, the content and the proses. But sometimes it goes off so badly, I have to scratch my … Continue reading

What a day in China
