天津海河中学百年庆

本报讯(记者孙刚)今年正值德华中学(今海河中学)建校100周年,海河中学昨日在天津青少年儿童活动中心举行专场文艺演出,拉开了海河中学“纪念德华中学建校100周年”系列庆典活动的序幕。海河中学的师生、历届校友和外国友人等上千人观看了演出。 这场纪念演出以“德荫瀚海、华泽长河”为主题。海河中学的校友和师生们与专业演员一起,以交响音乐史诗的形式,展现了海河中学一个世纪以来的兴学历程和办学成就。演出分为“百年辉煌”“精英摇篮”“海河精神”“共创未来”四个乐章。远道而来的德国客人也表演了节目。演出期间,海河中学校长与德国友人还一起为“德华中学建校100周年”纪念铜钟揭幕。   1907年,在“西学东渐”的背景下,德国政府出资派员成立德华中学,引进了当时世界上较为先进的治学理念和大批仪器设备。1919年,民国政府接管后改名为大营门中学。1924年这里成为直隶全省第一所女子专门学校,开始了长达44年的女子专门教育。1949年,天津解放后,更名为天津市立第一女子中学。1968年,学校开始男女生兼收,并以天津母亲河命名为海河中学,成为改革开放后首批市级重点中学。新世纪伊始,又被确定为市级高中示范校。
