Going Solo in the USA
My town is one of those so called bedroom community. So everywhere I turn, I see families. Heterosexual families. Married with children. But in the city the rate of being single is much higher, which is not surprising. San Francisco leads the way with 44.7% singles and my Noo Yawk is third on the list at 39.8%. Over all, the recent census analysis stating that 51% of U.S. women live without a spouse.Last night was a girls martini night in, lichee with Grey Goose.
One of the girls is divorced (since last year) and dating. So we grilled her for detailed about her boy friends. An army of b/fs. She puts an ad on line and selects the ones she likes and go out on a date with him. She dates few at time. I’d think that only man would do that. But guess I’m wrong, utterly out of date. I know this is a personal preference, but I just can’t image living alone. Maybe if I have a few sibling would have made a little difference? Lady Di hangs out with her sisters and bro all the time. I really envy people with lots of sibling :).. Ok, as for dating .. not sure the dating girl enjoys it or just enjoys the freshness of it. Can be tiring, doesn’t it? .. and there is this polyamory thing .. I was so impressed when Diana Adams told her mother that ..
“You know how I’m bisexual .. Well guess what, I have a girlfriend. In fact, I have two.”
Her Mom replied, “If these are people that you love, they’re family to me.”
Oh .. we talked about vp’s debate too.
