Food
I normally eat two meals a day. That was before knowing myself could eat so much! The Princess cruise ship has six restaurants (two are premium that require additional fees) and one buffet, endless food, very abundant, very American. They serve afternoon tea too. The white gloves were not quite there. After all, it’s a cruise ship filled with families, kids and babies, and adults who probably never been to an Afternoon Tea party before.
Breakfast and lunch, if you chose, to have it in the dinning room, then more than likely to share the table with others, which I found cute. Got to know other travellers, making small conversations. There is sizable British contingent who’d visited Canadian Rockies prior. Most of them were gracious about US, except two couples, who asked me how do I enjoy the coffee on board. I knew instantly what they had to say. In all honesty, coffee in the US has improved tremendously over the past two decades. I’m not a coffee drinker, I told them so. That didn’t stop them from ohhhhing and ahhhing the lousy American coffee ..
I’ve never been to an European small river cruise, which sounds neat, to me. I could image few drastic differences right now.
