An arty world
Artist Howard Behrens was on board, selling his stuff. His wife was with him, so was his daughter. I don’t find his painting mastery, few actually very amateurish, as if unfinished. His wife on the booklet looked really slim and small. But when I saw her at the gathering, lord, she was huge. Howard looked old and with bit difficult movement. His wife was like puppeteer. When a family came forward, saying they bought one of his paintings, and would like to take a picture with him. Judi called to her husband, “Howard, come over here. This family bought the larger version of this painting.” Then proceed to take picture for them, while the old Howard tried to stand up and move clumsily behind the painting. I’d rather to see her to rush over to his side, helping him out.

At auction, there wasn’t any bidding going on. The few I saw, were all sold to the original offerer. One Asian couple bought two Pierre Mattise for $1400 each. Hopefully they enjoy the paintings more than the name. For it’s his father Henri Matisse, whose paintings that captivated the world. Pierre was actually more of a name as gallery owner than a painter, if we’re talking about the same Pierre Mattise here.
Many paintings and art works at the gallery were fancinating and well done, beautiful aside, with savoir faire.

You are an extremely negative, critical and small minded person. I spent considerable time with Howard and Judi and found them to be absolutely down to earth, friendly and caring individuals. Howard is 75 years old and may not move around like a youngster…wait until you are that old! Judi clearly cares deeply for Howard and is only interested in his welfare. Perhaps you don’t have someone in your life who feels the same about you and vice versa. after reading your blog it’s no wonder. Grow up and learn how to enjoy life and stop thinking you are better than others.
Joe, are you the artist Howard Behrens himself? Thank you for your comment.
It’s impossible to be everything to everyone, so I’ve never tried .. .. Don’t feel offended when someone doesn’t like your work. For every one who doesn’t, there must be one who does. Good luck to your career and health. I’ll still be swimming and running on the tennis court when I’m 75.
It’s nothing but you might just confirmed my suspicious that she’s your second (or thereafter ..) wife when your daughter called her by name - ‘Judi’ during the interview.
