Loaner ..

Piano. Golfer looked very pleased tonight, smiling ear to ear, said, “I think they’re delivering it tomorrow.” The It is his new toy/concubine piano - although I don’t know the sequence of his concubines ranking, the fish, chess, clubs .. .. .. I knew for sure the Lionel trains are out.  It’s odd for a man who doesn’t even know where the water is in the house, would know the delivery date. I bet he won’t care to know the wash machine’s delivery ..

When the brand new It was freshly out of Frank and Camille’s, I saw a small dent.  Why did you buy it? “Oh, I just love the feel and sounding of this one.” Ok. The left leg was kind of limping. He dismissed it, “na, it’s just fine. It’s your floor. ..” It’s so man, that they don’t bother with those little things.  After the turner came the repairman for the little dent.  After he patched up it the, he said, this limping leg needed to be fixed.  Unfortunately he didn’t have the tools.  So the sales lady called back few days later to say, It has to be done at their shop. And they would provide us a loaner. My first reaction was, “don’t bother.” Thank god I’d have few days of peace. :) ..

But apparently the sales lady knew Golfer pretty well, said, “Mrs. Eng,  .. .. I think Mr. Eng can use a loaner .. I don’t know how long this would take .. ” So we got a loaner. So Golfer plays on it every day.  King said he doesn’t like it.  (He actually likes the old one.)  We shall see how the limping leg looks like tomorrow.  Wouldn’t it be nice the surgeon just put in a prosthetic leg instead?  ha ha ha .. I’m evil.

This issue of New Yorker disclosed that Lang Lang averages 125 concerts each year, and commands $50,000 for a recital, and fives times of that for a private concert.  Hmmmm .. middle age crisis or am I seeing the cash register .. .. whatever makes you happy master .. :)
