Caller ID
When calling a business, I really appreciate that they could bring up your account by caller ID, your home phone. It is a myth to me that most businesses don’t. They’ll tirelessly ask you to verify your home phone number, your address, your e-mail .. etc. Doesn’t the technology suppose to make life easier for all of us? Or they love to waste time? The most annoying one is being asked by the recorded voice to enter your home phone number - I’m calling from it - granted some might not. But I’d think most would call from their homes. It sounds so amaturish, low tech and unprofessional. Then (if it’s a credit card) ask to enter your a/c number, your SS, .. then when you finally got a human on the line, s/he would ask you to verify all of the above again. Best way to deal with it is to desert it.
