My young gf
Girl in love - they make a cute couple. Love her skirt too, very feminine, and girlie.
I met her b/f at the dinner the other day for the first time. Instantly liked him: he’s very decent, period. I told her so. Thinking that Lucy would often remind me not to 欺负 ‘bully’ Golfer, she said, “omg, my family told me the same.” :))
He’s caring and chatty - nice guy to write/bring home. They both still look like big kids. Genuine, with nice upbringing, very grounded. To my surprise, they met in Beijing! Quite a story now that they rendezvous in New York.
We talked about dating. She mentioned young people are bit noncommittal in China now. I reckon it’s like any major cities worldwide. I’m a dinosaur, meaning I consider marriage is the mainstream - if you want to have child/ren. And also feel bit unease talking to young people - I don’t know their world well. Wondering why am I writing about two young people I don’t know well. .. … hmmmmm … guess I drawn to them perhaps due to my two teenagers? Believe it or not, I would sometime think/wonder about their future mates.
Few weeks earlier I had dinner with a Jewish friend, who’s previous life was an IB on Wall Street. He bought his female friend, a MD from China. She answered his dating ad years ago and since became good friend. He’d often talk about her, nearing 40, still hunting for a rich and handsome Caucasian husband. I say hunting, I meant it. She’d drag him to those social functions where a rich man might go, gallery openings.. .. “I told her, rich handsome men younger than 40 are looking at 20 hot chicks .. they have wider playing field ..” I don’t disagree. He once showed me her glossy pictures taken from China to be used as a calling card - it seemed every one gone back to China, would come back with an album or two of studio pictures, all dressed up .. it cost only like 200 RMB or so … He’s trying to enlist me in her quest. I had to say that I was bit curious. A Beida graduate, then medical school .. The first impression off the pictures was she’s 骚, - not sure I have the right English word for it since Chinese view ’sexy’ in different light (my generation any way) - a little derogatory way to describe sexy? Second thought, oh my god why didn’t she shave her armpits? She dressed in a very revealing black dress, and the black hair were seeping out of her arms. Thought I pointed that to him.
At dinner, she came dressed in a sleeveless black tight dress. There you go again, the underarm hair. As soon as she sat down, she made it known to the waiters and patrons within the earshot vicinity that she’s a medical doctor. Her skin is very fair with little pimples here and there. She looks a little like Wendi Murdoch, and loved talking about her. When and when she ran into her at some charity, and Wendi’s past marriages and getting involved with the man who taught her English .. Wendi keeps a very low profile, she might have a colorful past but she doesn’t seem 骚. Keeping a conversation with her is hard, I’m just a suburban housewife, don’t hob nob with the city’s elites
A girl in love and a girl in hunting .. I’m losing myself here, :).. Each of us have different requirement for our future mate or life long partner. I don’t have right to judge anyone whose view differs from mine. A great or nearly perfect relationship/marriage only the two involved would know. A pair of shoes, only the wearer know how fit it is. Wishing everyone the best of luck .. 有情人终成眷属 .. 知足者常乐 - what is happiness?
