Fiat’s controversial Gere ad to keep running
Ahha there he is. I’ve been wondering all those time where is Richard Gere. He’s one of the earliest Dalai Lama celeb followers, if not the first. Sharon got stoned for her comment and Dior pulled her ad immediately in China. Hmmmmm… The 45 seconds commercial is nicely made, and he looks gorgeous - why all my favored actor/actress are misinformed on Tibet and Lama loving? How do we separate the thin line between political statement and artistic creation? I won’t bet my chip either way that he’s done this out of his love for Tibet or he’s making a bold statement in support of the Lama. Does this set precedent that anyone makes anything that hinted at anything China-dismay need to apologize?
