Better not miss an opportunity
Indian richest man Ambani grew up in the controlled environment, as vs US or other G-6 nations, hence is relentless and tough, “they grew up as lotuses from the filth. It makes them tough, it makes them suspicious, it makes them vindictive at times, and it makes them com out in a hurry. They always see life as, ‘Oh God, better not miss an opportunity.’” Sounds familiar? Chinese act the same way. When they finally got a chance - post Mao - they rush out as if to recuperate their lost time and opportunity.
Now, some people think China acts bit over board, as if they’re the center of the universe. The sheer size made it impossible to ignore, but it lacks software (even hardware - Beijing and Shanghai etc are great, but China has many more cities that’s far away from the world standards .. ) to plot forward shoulder to shoulder with the developed countries. Don’t get carried away before you finally arrived.
