We learnt quickly
Sharon Stone’s high-heeled foot in her mouth really caught on. Dior dropped her from its advertising in China. That’s lighting speed. But I think Chinese learned quicker, the western media had taught them well. They’re flexing their new found muscle in the global market. No one is willing to forgo that eye popping 300 mil and surging middle class, the buying power is the size of entire US population.
What the Chinese is aiming at this summer Beijing Olympic game is for the world to show them the respect they think they deserve, and crave. New money never smells right, but I think they should be treated as an equal player at the table. Given couple of more generations, China will smell like old money, and behave like one.
