Absolutely American

Absolutely American is a wonderful book I read a while ago. Not sure what it is - their honor, principal, discipline and sarcrifice perhaps - I found the men (both sexes) in uniform are respectable and charming.  It is under the same light that I found McCain a far better candidate than the others, he looks like a real man, vs kid in diaper.

One of the weeklies portrait few students from the West Point few years ago.  One was a white football captain, a girl and a second generation Korean.  The Korean-American’s parents were artists, moved to US during (or after) the Korean War with the help from American GIs.  To thank US, they insisted their son to serve this country.  I found this gesture very heart warming, for there are plenty ungrateful who whine, dodge the war, cheat on taxes (and bloat about their possessions ..) ..
