The complete list of the 1,300 top U.S. high schools well .. what’s anything to do with me? :) I have time and patience for the top 10 only, and my school isn’t within. See No Evil, Hear No Evil. Today is our school budget vote for 2008/09 year. Our school tax rate is the second lowest in our county at $301.63 per $100 of assessed valuation. The budget is $181m of which $169m is from our real property tax, and state funding accounts only $7m. It has an 5.35% increase fm the current year and the real property tax increase is 5.98%. With approximately 6000 kids in the school, it cost $30,000 to educate a child. Wondering what’s the cost per child for the top 10 schools on this list.
