A new bill fm Perry

Published by The Kibbitzer at 1:10 pm under View from Bottom

Perry Esq sent me a bill for trying reducing my tax bill, or the assess value, for real this time: I owe him $81.50.  Checking my records over the past 10 years or so since I signed on with him, inflow $630, outflow $55.  Is this a respectable figure for a lawyer?  Do I believe my taxes being reduced?  Honestly I don’t know and frankly for the token amount, I don’t care.  How many case does he have to generate to make a living?  Or this type of work is an easy way out?  It’s my understanding that when the lawyers work on contingent basis, they only get paid by the other side, if they win.  Then now why am I liable to foot his bill, how ever tiny?  There are two equations he supplied for me to calculate .. my eyeballs rolled upward.

Someone once gave a plaque to an assessor that reads “Arguing with the tax assessor is like wrestling a pig in the mud .. After a while, you realize the pig enjoys it ..”  Could we apply the same to Perry and co?
