Xiaohui
Xiaohui 吕孝惠 (1902 - 1922) [right in the picture] was Yeye’s older sister. This is perhaps one of few pictures we have of her. The little girl is grandaunt Lily. Two girls facing the camera were friends. Xiaohui died of pulmonary tuberculosis when it recurred in Henan. Not sure if she had a better chance if they were in Beijing. At time, my great grandfather was 河南信阳州汝道道尹, a magistrate. Feng Yuxiang was 督军, the governor.
