The Frenchies
This former NYT Paris bureau chief said that an interview is sometimes not an interview in France, because ‘it has long been common practice for journalists in France to allow their interview subjects to edit their words. “Read and corrected,” the system is called.’ This isn’t a political satire (in light of the fierce competition in the US democratic jockeying to be the nominee, especially over the furor of Hillary’s lie) but on the Week in Review (the weekend section), hmmmm .. just culture differences?
