My maternal great grandparents
My great grandparents, both older pictures are taken in Beijing
My Zengzu, maternal great grandfather was Lü (many spell it as Lv or Lyu on the English keyboard) Jun 吕均 (4/1/1879 Lujiang - 1/28/1942 Beijing), style 字 Xiheng 习恒. His father was Lü Keqi 吕克齐(1859 Lujiang - 1918 Lujiang) from Lujiang 庐江县 in Anhui province, mother Hong Shi (? - 1935 Lujiang). Few generations ago, the branch or family was originally from Shanxi 山西. Great grandpa left Lujiang in 1900 as a linsheng 廪生 government student in the late Qing, gone to study in Japan, served in various positions when he came back, including 国务院秘书长 under President Li Yuanhong in 1923, Zhang Shaozeng 张绍曾 was 国务总理. He was the only son of the family. His wife, my great grandmother was Sun Qiong 孙琼 (1878 Lujiang - 11/06/1954 Beijing). She had one older brother 孙百川 Sun Baichuan, two older sisters and one younger brother. Her mother died young, so she was raised by her oldest sister. My great gramps had six children:
Xiaohui 吕孝惠 - (1902 Lujisng - winter 1922 Fengtian 奉天now Shenyang)
Xiaohua 吕孝华 - (1904 Lujiang - 1984 Beijing) my Yeye
