I’m a gay too..
Being an Asian and woman isn’t enough nowadays to land perks, needing to diversify to include gay or lesbian. It seems bit slow to me. The gay culture in Beijing was in full throttle when I was there, 2003. Few gay bars I went were great .. Queerfish was in the middle of a residential area, showcasing young boys as fashion models, from fully clothed stripe down to the G-string ..
Yizang must having a ball, working as creative director for one of the Fortune 100 in BJ. He’s the most talented and artistic among us, Fan and I. We were the best friends till high school then we abrubtly stopped, let alone hanging out together. Boys didn’t talk to girls in high school back then. Yizang dated both girls and boys .. .. Fan got kicked out of college in the NE because he slept with a girl and refused to marry her. Her father was a minor official in town, and flex his muscle at school. It was the darkest period of his life. Early 80s, without a school nor a job.. .. Guess we are all misfit, :)) .. Next time I’ll have to talk about my girl friends..
