Chinese pears
I just found (should say decided to try .. since I’ve seen this for a while .. narrow mind kept me from tasting it sooner, hehehe ..) a new type of pear, the green one on the left from Xinjiang. The light yellow on the right has been there, if not for centuries, at least more than half a century. Chinese pears have the crispy and lean texture and are very juice. The Xinjiang one is more so. It reminds me of the pears from Shijiazhuang but small in size. The skin looks bit ragged and coarse, but there is no need to peel: they taste great.
