Finally our timeshare at Hilton Head is complete, set up with the exchange company RCI, the last step. What appalling to me was the resort we purchased, Coral Reef or Reba Management. They’re very incompetent and irresponsible. First they delay the process, then they demand $3,000 conversion fee for new owners. Matt at the company that handled the sale said the previous owner already paid. Apparently he took care of it last week. Reba Mgt called today, asking if I have received the package and have sent the check. I even spoke with a supervisor (is she?), who insisted that I need to pay up. Between the first call and the second, I contacted RCI myself and found out the set up had already done. So I asked her, the Reba lady: why? Apparently she had no clue, quickly wished me a happy new year, and end our phone call. What a joke! The only time I heard from them was when they demanded payment, which isn’t legit.
