Dolphins

Published by The Kibbitzer under Going Places

When I spotted the dorsal just a few feet away, my first thought was oumygawd, shark .. then whale .. there were few of them.  The beach or water is extremely shallow.  I walked closer, they were leisurely swimming in the knee high ocean without a care in the world.  Probably dolphins,

The Center Court

Published by The Kibbitzer under View from Bottom

We played on da center court at the Sea Pines! The only bummmer was there wasn’t a single spectator or linesmen, :). For whatever the reason, the girl (who’s from Kings Park, LI) at the club house decided to give us the center court to play. Cool. We played with a couple from Atlanta, the [...]

 his Shipyard courts

Pumpkin’s mini session with Walker Sahag and Andy Sklarin at the VDM was pretty good, claiming that they got her serve on track.  Ok cool. The intensity is pretty heavy, Walker with a weathered face yelled loud and clear at the beginning and at the end.  Pumpkin grouped with a little girl, they both worked [...]

The long bike ride

Published by The Kibbitzer under Going Places

The bike rides on the beach in the Sea Pines are great.  I like this no frill bike, simple.  The one I have, has so many features that ‘overwhelms’ me .. I have no need for it, :).  .

Regular milk

Published by The Kibbitzer under Seefood Diet n Wine

I wanted a latte. My favored combo is a cup of hot milk with a drop or two coffee. No StarBucks within walking distance. So I walked into a fine coffee shop. Either I looked like a Martian or terrorist, few customers there became very quiet. I placed my order. The waiter told me to [...]

Widowhood 孤儿寡母

Published by The Kibbitzer under Going Places, Sports

X’mas day at the Hilton Head, played exhilarating tennis with Pumpkin, biked, early morning walk on the beach .. .. in the afternoon, I wanted to take kids for a hot chocolate while waiting for Golfer finishing up his golf. Turned out, nothing opened. How could the caddies work but not a single coffee or [...]

A little odd

Published by The Kibbitzer under View from Bottom

At least once a year, a former colleague would call Golfer to catch up.  He got fired few years ago after an imprudence that cost the group a little over 1m.  Golfer likes him, put in a good word with the current employer.  He’s very good looking, thoughtful, 35, with a house but without a [...]

Parenting

Published by The Kibbitzer under View from Bottom

Raising kids are simple, but it’s not an easy job.  Here is a story I just heard: a Chinese family with three children on the west coast, the oldest is a girl who has gone to college.  She falls in love with a boy not meeting her parents’ approval.  During a visit home, mother got [...]

The dancer

Published by The Kibbitzer under View from Bottom

Does the imperfection make life more interesting?  Here is this good looking girl with a nice body and agile steps dancing the night away.  When she came to greet someone at my table, oh lord, those black teeth .. I just wished that she’ll be the mute dancer I had known.  People might like some one more once [...]

Back in Time

Firm comfy beds and hot water for 4 cost only $26.95a night.  I’d never thought this is possible in the US.  Econo Lodge off I-95.  It didn’t even have to advertise for the cleanest bathroom, as there are few on the I-95.  It was just perfect for us for a quick in and out on our way down [...]
