Quality of the Chinese
In a recent CNN interview, film director Chen Kaige wondered “Where are the old values of integrity and care for others?” he asks. “Something has been lost along the way.” With all their burgeoning wealth, the Chinese people are spiritually poorer than they used to be. The low quality of people can’t be replace by few gleaming skyscrapers. To salvage it in just couple of decades is impossible. Few generations perhaps? 不是三代做官，不知穿衣吃饭 sounds right here.
