A very different kind of weekend AM
It’s sunny and pleasant Saturday, yet I’m home reading my newspapers. Yesterday rained so hard, the courts are still wet this morning, so no one is out there whacking the balls. I walked into town, bought bagels and lox, kids’ favored breakfast. There was time when I’m trying to be frugal, buy from supermarket on sale, like $11.99 a pound. It would sit in the frig till the color turned. No one would touch it. I have no idea where my kids acquire their taste. The baked salmon salad goes for $16 a pound at this bagel store with long line, subline.
We have plenty of bagel shops, nail salons, shoe stores, jewelers .. There are 6 shoe stores on this first block on the first block of our commercial strip, and more if you keep on going down the street. Lord, there is Imelda Marcos in all of us, :).
