Autumn in New York 深秋

Published by The Kibbitzer at 10:45 pm under Going Places

The skin-deep chill

The falling leaves

The crispy air

The cerulean blue sky

Comes the lean and fresh autumn

My favored season

After the sultry, indolent summer

It is still pretty young at the moment

深秋 is perhaps not exactly right

But never mind.

Rain had pounded on this corner of the earth mercilessly yesterday

It washed off the dust,

The dirt,

And the sin ..

The air is crispier

The trees are greener

The buildings are shinier

Even the water’s been washed cleaner,

spotless, simmering, sparkling ..

New York is stunning

Sophisticated

Seductive

Sexy

Oozes charm.

As is autumn

Lean on it

Enjoy the season while it is still young

Am I attempting to write a poem?

No, I don’t dare [keep hitting the Enter key]

But I’m going to a poem reading this Sunday
