It stands for International Recovery Associates, Inc. located in Nesconset NY. I received a letter dated 10/1 today from them, demanding $97.30 on behave of my radiologist. Saying that I have 30 days to respond. How coincident that I just blog about it yesterday! It just reinforced my point that doctors are losing control and too many incompetent people doing redundant work that wasting every-one’s time. I called the insurer, was told that the correct claim was finally sent on 9/27 on a service that’s performed on 3/13! And the check is in the mail, shortly. Six months for a billing department to get thing right, to get paid. One more bill in the mail today, for the service on 9/28, which meant they detour the insurer altogether. This medical group is huge, with several offices .. .. How the US get to be the leader for a century in the first place?
