Paying the premium

Mexican Carlos Slim is likely to replace Gates as the world richest man.  Does anyone actually care who’s the richest man on earth is beside the point.  My first thought was is that true and how did Forbes come up with the criteria to measure?  Should they consider the circumstances of the two ( .. like Gates faces antitrust challenges and just had its comprehensive defeat in Brussels, but Slim while has more than 90% of Mexico’s land-line phone market, the gov still allowed him to enter the wireless .. .. Slim’s fortune should be discounted, regardless if there is any perks for being the richest man.  In other less regulated and opaqued nations, I’d question the legality of the claim, and if they are competing on an equal ground.

Since we’re at it, is there a good rich man and bad rich man, like good money and bad money?  I think there is.  Gates is convincingly a good rich man, translucent, among other qualities that made him who he’s.
