Insider trading

Published by The Kibbitzer at 8:56 am under Trading

Insider trading is a term that most investors have heard and usually associate with illegal conduct, states the SEC.  But the term actually includes both legal and illegal conduct.  Say I’m buying a stock because the industry or sector has been in the news, I felt it has good value n potential… then it turns out on my restriction list - the chances that big banks are always involved is very high - so I get a message saying it can’t be bought.  Is this a good warning that something is up?  Oh ya, it’s.  Would this be considered as insider trading?  I hope not.  But in reality, it’s probably a no go for me, not worth the trouble.  Options: choose your employer wisely.
