Trojan in China
A dear friend of mine is working for Trojan the condom in Beijing, as its creative director. He’s responsible for creating ad (we studied drawing together since 5th grade), over seeing launching .. He’s very talented and very gay with grerat aesthetic. For the past couple of years, he’s been busy with this new gag, doesn’t have much time to be my image consultant and critics. So don’t blame me for being a slob, it’s all his fault, lol. Without his nagging, I let my hair grow longer for the past few years than a tomboy hair cut I usually have, which he likes, which requires far more frequent trips to the salon.
Last month they had one of their major launches in Beijing University, with a budget of more than quarter million and the splash generated more than 4x of equivalent of advertising value, noted Edelman. A good magazine cost more than 100,000 a month for an ad. He sent over two of his final proofs for the up coming months, both aiming at female. One in purple green theme depicting a long haired girl doing high jump, saying “Time has changed, women want high too”. I was speechless! For one, (I didn’t see it myself, but heard plenty) that condoms were free in China (or back then?). Secondly, only few years ago, I read about a survey conducted on Chinese women’s sexual activity on behave of a European condoms manufacture. The result was disastrous for most of women either didn’t know or never experience orgasm .. they could only state .. it’s comfortable. .. I like this one better, soft colours .. implying a wedding night.. but the web address is wrong, missing an O. That’s China. Moving at break neck speed, trying to be sophisticated at the same time.
