Mother’s Day
Front page of a major Chinese newspaper in US has picture of a nursery in Hangzhou celebrating Mother’s Day. The sitting parents formed heart shape and enjoying their kids washing their feet. .. states the nursery: they’re trying to teach the kids to be thankful .. and the parents could feel the love ..
I found the whole thing is very undignified for both. Teaching your children to be thankful is fine - although I am not sure you could actually ‘teach’ someone to be thankful, thought it should come within .. They could have the kids massaging their parents’ back instead? Shoes off, pants up, water, kids kneed .. it just felt very odd. I’d rather my kids do something else then on their knees washing my feet. I get that at nail salons, and I prefer to get it from a pedicurist.
