Kimono, not Qipao?
US p.e. (private equity) fund Olympus Capital Holdings Asia is to become the single largest shareholder of Kyoto Kimono, eerrrhhh … the point is? Why not picking a qipao (changshan or cheongsam) instead? More consumers and it can actually go anywhere at anytime, dressing up or down - Maggie Cheung’s In the Mood for Love - (oh love Maggie too). I love qipao, and wear them often at parties and sometimes just for a regular day. Oh, sari too. But never tried kimono.
