Neighbor’s grass IS greener
Trading with charts is a new concept to me. When Bobby Fischer first recommended few sites, he failed to explain what were needed in order to trade. I was dumbfounded, because there isn’t a place for me to open an account on most web sites on his list. What I was expecting was something like eTrade, that I could simply click an icon to open an account and wire in the money, they take care of the rest. With charts, you need to shop for the data feeders who will populate your charts, frontend program that enters orders from the chart to your broker, backend program that connect the broker to the exchange, and of course the clearing house, well, to execute your trades … To evaluate each charting companies, I superficially learned how to maneuver around. After this struggle, I thought I’m half way through. No. Not even close. To make my life easier, I cheated by opting with a package deal, meaning a broker buddle up a chart and frontend and provide execution, so I don’t have assemble it. And when I began to spend some time to personalize the charts, I realized how inadequate I’m around a computer! For example, I wanted to change my charts’ background color which is aqua to the moderator’s greenish, it’s not just a click away. I fumbled with color palate, and went into customizing it, still came up wrong. Is neighbor’s grass is greener? In my case, it is, lol. … All those are not even remotely involving the actual trading. And trading plan is needed. What plan? lol …
